ICRS 2020 - 14th International Coral Reef Symposium
Guidelines for Abstract Submission
Submission, Deadline
- Abstracts have to be submitted exclusively online.
- Abstracts received after 17 September 2019 23:59:00 CEST cannot be considered.
- Alterations and corrections may be executed previous to the deadline.
Size, Content
- Submitting authors can submit and edit multiple abstracts before the deadline.
- Presenters are limited to one (1) contribution (oral or poster presentation) in one (1) of the listed sessions.
- The presenting author acts as lead contact for the respective session chairs and ICRS 2020 organisers.
- Each submitted abstract can have a maximum of 15 authors, including the presenting author.
- Individual co-authorship (non-presenter) is unlimited.
- Submit an informative title (max. 150 characters) and a short abstract (max. 2500 characters). The text has to be orthographically suitable for publishing.
- Do not include any information about the authorship or source in the text section, as all abstracts will be reviewed and selected in "blind" mode (without knowing the identity of the authors).
- The usage of special formatting should be limited. The correct replication in all media cannot be guaranteed.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English.
Review, Registration
- Session chairs will complete the review and selection of abstracts as oral or poster presentations in "blind" mode (authors' identity hidden) by 31 October 2019.
In a second step, the ICRS 2020 Secretariat will view the chair's selection in "open" mode (author identity visible) and, if necessary, coordinate a balanced composition of speakers/presenters with the principal chair.
- Presenters will be notified about their presentation assignment by 30 November 2019.
- Registration (Early bird) will open 1 December 2019.
Conditions, Requirements
- All abstract submissions will be handled through the ICRS 2020 online submission system. All sessions will be publicly open for submissions.
- Sessions consist of oral and/or poster presentations. Oral presentations will likely last for 12 min, followed by 2 min for questions.
- ICRS 2020 organisers cannot provide financial support towards presentation costs. Presenters fund their own registration, travel and accommodation costs.
